In my local forest and park, there was rubbish everywhere and nobody was doing anything about it. It made the area look untidy and it was harming the wildlife and plants. My friends and I decided to do something about it. We started a campaign to clean up the forest and the park. We made some leaflets and we posted them to all the people who live in our town. We held a meeting in the town hall and invited all the residents of the town. A lot of people turned up and we told them our plan. A few people were really enthusiastic about cleaning up the forest and park. Some people didn't want to help and said that the government should clean up the mess. We contacted the local government and asked if they could help. They told us that they would support us in any way they could. They provided us with some rubbish bags and cleaning equipment. They also told us that in a few weeks they were planning to introduce recycling to our town, which should reduce the amount of rubbish. Every weekend for 2 months, my friends and I along with the local volunteers picked up all of the rubbish. Now the park and forest are clean and the plants and wildlife are safe.
Jane wanted to clean the forest and park because the rubbish was _____.
A | polluting the rivers |
B | disturbing all the residents |
C | making the forest tidy |
D | giving harm to animals and plants there |
